Funny for (Black) Friday #8: Bohemian Muppets & Bajillion Ab Muscles
The obvious internet video hit this week is the Muppets covering “Bohemian Rhapsody.” If you’re near my age, you’ve seen about a dozen friends post it to Facebook by now, and it made trending topics on Twitter with a couple of hashtags. While previous muppet-to-web installments have done well, this broke a million hits in about two days. The reason? I think it’s because they not only honored the song, but pulled off an homage to the Muppets altogether. Also impressive to me is how they creatively skated around the whole “just killed a man” subject matter.
Any other week, this would be the best thing out there. Seriously, why DOESN’T she just become a vampire??? There are, like, ZERO consequences to being a vampire in that franchise…
